Ben & Gölgem
Joseph Hyde’ın projesi Ben ve Gölgem, MADE (Mobility for Digital Arts in Europe / Avrupa’da Dijital Sanatların Dolaşımı) 2011 komisyonunu kazanan proje olarak seçildi. MADE, Avrupa’da Dijital Sanat Alanının önde gelen dört kuruluşunun inisyatifi ile gerçekleşiyor: Centre Des Arts d’Enghien-les-Bains (Paris, Fransa), body>data>space (Londra, İngiltere), Transcultures (Mons, Belçika) ve boDig (İstanbul, Türkiye).
Proje, Hyde’ın Microsoft Kinect ve benzer teknolojiler ile yakın tarihteki deneyiminden ve geçmişte yaptığı telematik çalışmalarından yola çıkmakta. Dört proje ortağının dört ayrı şehrinde birer ‘portal’ yerleştirmesinden oluşacak olan proje, her mekandaki kullanıcıları gerçek-zamanlı hareket kaydı ile birbirine bağlayacak ve 3-boyutlu ‘gölgelerini’ ortak yaratıcı bir mekana yansıtacak. Eylül ayında boDig ile başlayarak, bir dizi rezidans çerçevesinde projeyi oluşturacak olan Joseph, bu süreç içinde partner kurumlar le yakın işbirliği içinde çalışacak. Tamamlanmış proje, Haziran 2012’de Enghiens-les-Bains’deki Bains Numeriques festivalinde sergilenecek.

Me & My Shadow
Joseph Hyde's project, me and my shadow, was chosen as the winner of the MADE (Mobility for Digital Arts in Europe) 2011 commission. MADE is the initiative of four leading European Digital Arts organisations: Centre des Arts Enghien-les-Bains, body > data > space (London), BoDig (Istanbul)and Transcultures (Mons, Belgium). The project builds on Hyde's recent experience with the Microsoft Kinect and related technologies, and previous work in telematics. It will consist of ‘portal’ installations in the cities of the four partners, which will connect users in each space across Europe through real-time motion capture, projecting their 3D ’shadows’ into a creative collaborative space. Joseph will be working on the project in close collaboration with the partner organisations through a series of residencies with each, starting with at boDig in September and culminating in the presentation of the finished project at the Bains Numeriques festival Enghiens-les-Bains in June 2012.
