boDig 08 – A series of events on “bodies & technologies”

The programme includes a lab among professional international artists as well as Turkish artists in a multidisciplinary scope and students upon application.
There will also be three workshops, each of them targeting at artists of different levels; professionals, young artists and students.

Public meetings will be organized in order to communicate the activities with the audience, and to set grounds for discussions and debates on the notions that are brought up during the lab and workshops. 

The programme of boDig 08 also includes the presentation of artistic works in order to attract the attention of young potential of artists and students who work or wish to work within the intersection of live arts and new media technologies. The presentation of artistic works is important in the case of Turkey where there are very little, if not any at all, productions of live arts with new media technologies. In order to introduce this specific field with a strong critical awareness to its problematic relation to the body, there will be stage performances, an exhibition of interactive installations, and club-events with sound performances.
